Tal Tamr residents condemn Ain Issa massacre, consider international silence a disgrace

On the night of December 8, the Turkish occupation state's drones targeted citizens in the village of "Mustariha" affiliated with the city of Ain Issa in the Euphrates region, which resulted in a horrific massacre, in which 13 martyrs were killed, including children, women and the elderly.

Calls for the international community to break its silence

In this context, citizen Idris Al-Younis from the city of Tal Tamr in al-Jazira canton, referred to the ugliness of the massacre, saying: "What happened in Ain Issa, targeting an entire family, cannot be accepted by the human mind. We condemn the silence of the international community towards these brutal attacks and massacres committed against the components of the region."

In her turn, citizen Khadija Asim Ibrahim stressed the importance of solidarity between the components of the region, saying: "With the cohesion of Arabs, Kurds, Syriacs and Assyrians alongside the Syrian Democratic Forces, we were able to thwart the plans of the occupying Turkish state."

She added: "We appeal to the countries active in the Syrian affair, such as the United States of America and Russia, to take action to stop these massacres targeting our people."

Continuous escalation and exploitation of the Syrian crisis

For his part, citizen Ahmed Haidar explained that the Turkish occupation state is exploiting the Syrian situation to achieve gains on the ground, saying: "The Turkish occupation state has exploited the weakness of the Syrian regime and recent events to escalate its attacks on our safe areas. These massacres are not new; since the outbreak of the Syrian crisis, Turkey has committed a series of crimes against children and women, the latest of which was the Ain Issa massacre."

Condemnation and dissatisfaction with the silence of the international community

Haider strongly criticized the silence of the international community and human rights organizations towards the crimes of the Turkish occupation and said: "This silence is a stain on the forehead of humanity. We call on everyone to act immediately and show a clear position on the violations and ongoing crimes of the Turkish occupation state."

The people of Tal Tamr city stressed the need to stand in the face of the aggressive attacks launched by the Turkish occupation state, renewing their commitment to defend their land and people in the face of the occupation and its mercenaries.
