Since Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s last phone call with his brother, which lasted only 5 minutes, then the call was suddenly cut off on March 25, 2021, no information has been received from him, and since then the Turkish state authorities have prevented his family and lawyers from meeting with him, under the pretext of the existence of so-called (Disciplinary Penalties), which are constantly extended, the last of which was on May 21.

Milad Youssef, an intellectual in the Tabqa Canton, explained that the Turkish state authorities have imposed strict isolation on the leader Abdullah Ocalan since March 25, 2021, amid clear silence by those concerned in international, humanitarian and human rights affairs, and are using policies of denial and isolation by all means, under the pretext of the so-called With disciplinary “penalties” from time to time.

Al-Youssef stressed by saying: “Turkey violates all international norms and conventions against the leader, and from time to time imposes sanctions, and prevents the leader from meeting with his family and lawyers. These sanctions are illegal and do not represent the standards of treatment of political detainees in obtaining all their rights. This is only an excuse to deprive the leader of “Right to Hope” Law.

Al-Youssef believed that the isolation imposed on the leader is an attempt to eliminate the existence of any solution to the outstanding issues, and an attempt to break the will of the people fighting for freedom, but he stressed that their (the Turkish authorities) attempts will not discourage the resolve and determination of the people of the region in achieving the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan. .

Milad Youssef concluded his speech by calling on “human rights and humanitarian organizations to play their real role in pressuring the Turkish authorities, to reveal the leader’s status, allow his lawyer and family to visit and meet him, and lift the absolute isolation imposed on him.”

For his part, the member of the Culture and Arts Center in Tabqa Canton, the intellectual Amer Enad, denounced the isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the policy of extending so-called “disciplinary sanctions” against him, as well as the international silence towards these hostile policies.

Al-Enad said: “All these actions that Turkey is taking towards the person of the leader, and all the politicians, activists and human rights activists in its hidden prisons, are to hide its dirty policy.”

In conclusion, he appealed to the international organizations of the United Nations and the Committee against Torture to fulfill their responsibilities to put an end to the isolation imposed on Leader Ocalan, to reveal his state of health, and to grant him physical freedom, stressing the role of free peoples in completing the democratic nation's approach given by Leader Abdullah Ocalan and continuing the struggle until such isolation was broken and the leader's physical freedom was achieved.
