Syrian Transitional Govt. Forces' drone crashed Sweida countryside

A drone belonging to the Syrian Transitional Government Forces crashed in the vicinity of al-Majdal village in the western countryside of Sweida.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that a drone belonging to the Syrian Transitional Government Forces crashed near al-Majdal village in the western countryside of Sweida, and the cause of the crash remains unknown.

No information has been received regarding any casualties resulted by the crash.

It is worth noting that on October 17, armed clashes broke out between members of the National Guard and the Syrian Transitional Government Forces on the Ara-Khirbet Samar axis, without any casualties being recorded.

In August 2025, local factions and forces in Sweida announced the formation of the "National Guard" as a unified army comprising thousands of fighters from the mountain. They affirmed their commitment to the decisions of the spiritual leadership of the Druze community, represented by Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri, and considered it the sole legitimate authority representing the mountain's stance.
