Criminal network in Tabqa dismantled on charges of theft, arms trafficking, drug use

The Internal Security Forces' Media Center issued a statement on Sunday on its forces' arrest of a network involved in theft, arms trafficking, and drug use in Tabqa province. The statement included,

"As part of the ongoing and relentless efforts to combat crime, our forces managed to arrest a network involved in theft, arms trafficking, and drug use and distribution in the neighborhoods of Tabqa city on Friday, October 17."

The center added, "The operation came after close monitoring and surveillance of the movements of several individuals suspected of involvement in theft and drug trafficking, where Crime Control Units successfully raided their locations, arresting members of the network and seizing quantities of narcotics and drug paraphernalia, as well as weapons, ammunition, and counterfeit items."

It noted, "During initial investigations, the detainees confessed to the charges against them related to theft, drug trafficking, and drug use. They will subsequently be referred to the Public Prosecution to complete the necessary legal procedures."
