For days, the Damascus government forces and the so-called "National Defense" have been launching attacks on villages and towns in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, resulting in the martyrdom of 15 people and the injury of 25 others until August 13.

In an interview with ANHA al-Suwaid  said: "The attacks of the Syrian regime on the Syrian Democratic Forces are in response to non-Syrian interests and are not in the interest of the Syrian people."

Al-Suwaid explained: "These attacks serve the Syrian regime's normalization with the Turkish occupation regime, as the Turkish regime sets the necessity of the Syrian regime fighting the Syrian Democratic Forces as a condition for completing normalization, knowing that the Turkish regime does not care about fighting the Syrian Democratic Forces, but rather cares about occupying northern Syria under the pretext of the presence of the SDF."

"These terrorist attacks made the Syrians west of the Euphrates sympathize with the SDF, as the general mood has begun to reject what Turkey was promoting, that the SDF is separatist and that it is an ally of the Syrian regime"

He added" We have read several political statements rejecting and condemning these terrorist attacks, and offering condolences for the martyrs over the barbaric aggression."

Al-Suwaid made the point clear, “These attacks reinforce the Assad regime’s strategy of regaining control over Syrian territory through killing and destruction, without paying attention to follow peaceful methods for the solution, including Resolution 2254, supported by the Russian, Iranian and Turkish occupation forces."

Al-Suwaid stressed: "The Autonomous Administration has tried to engage in political dialogue with the regime several times, and has presented several initiatives for dialogue with the regime. Although we, as observers, saw that the Assad regime does not deserve these initiatives aimed at a peaceful solution. However, the regime has ignored them all, and instead of dialogue, it sends its mercenaries to kill, destroy, and incite racist nationalist sentiments among the components of the Syrian people, who reject this systematic incitement."

Al-Suwaid pointed out that: "Igniting war will not yield anything except killing  innocent victims on both banks of the Euphrates River."

Al-Suwaid addressed a message to the Syrians and the public opinion and said: "Whoever fights the Autonomous Administration project is an enemy of the Syrian people before being an enemy of the Autonomous Administration itself. Turkey is an expansionist, greedy state, occupying Syrian land, and its rulers publicly declare their desire to restore diplomatic relations with the criminal Syrian regime that killed Syrians, and displaced half of the citizens from their homes, Iran supports the criminal Bashar al-Assad. Likewise, Iraq is also a state whose sovereignty has been stolen by Iran, and it is pressing to contribute to ending the Autonomous Administration experience in response to Turkish and Iranian efforts."

Al-Suwaid explained: "The Autonomous Administration is surrounded by hostile countries on one side, and it has no choice but to strengthen the internal national front by leading the peaceful movement against the Assad regime in partnership with the Syrian national forces, away from the puppets of the National Coalition, the Interim Government, the National Army, or the army that is parallel to the Turkish occupation army."

Ali al-Amin al-Suwaid concluded by saying: “It is the time for the Autonomous Administration to embrace a national front representing all Syrians to lead the movement towards implementing international resolutions related to the Syrian solution."
