The Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan has two centers, one in Qamishli and the other in Aleppo, and today it opened its third center in Kobani, in the presence of the people of the Euphrates Canton, members of institutions and bodies affiliated with the Autonomous Administration, and women’s organizations.

The opening ceremony began with a minute of silence to honor the souls of the martyrs. Then, Aisha Afandi, the spokesperson for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan Initiative in the Euphrates Canton, gave a speech in which she said: "We have been struggling for the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan throughout all of Kurdistan for 26 years. This struggle has achieved significant outcomes. Initially, the Turkish state sentenced him to death, but through the resistance of the free people and those who set themselves on fire, the sentence was changed. We hope that just as we defeated ISIS mercenaries in Kobani, we will ensure the physical freedom of the leader through our resistance."

The spokesperson for the Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, Farzanda Mundhir, congratulated Leader Abdullah Ocalan, the people of Kobani, and the families of the martyrs of freedom on the opening of the initiative’s center in the city of resistance, Kobani. He said: "This center was opened on a historic day, Martyrs’ Day, which falls on May 18."

Mundhir expressed his wishes for success for the work and efforts of the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan Initiative in Kobani, emphasizing, "The initiative must spread the leader’s thought and philosophy in society and strengthen the struggle for his physical freedom."

Then, the mother, Halima Rashu, the mother of three martyrs (Barin, Botan, and Baran) cut the ribbon in green, red, and yellow to officially open the center.

After the opening, the people entered the center and presented members of the initiative with pictures of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and the martyrs.
