Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrest ISIS leader inside al-Hol Camp

The SDF Media Center issued a statement to the public today, revealing that the forces had arrested an ISIS leader in al-Hol camp.

The statement read:

"As part of the ongoing war against terrorism and the ISIS terrorist organization and its attempts to rebuild its clandestine networks, the Special Operations Forces (TOL) of the Syrian Democratic Forces, in direct field coordination with the International Coalition forces, conducted a high-quality security operation at dawn today inside al-Hol camp. This operation resulted in the arrest of the terrorist leader Bahaa al-Masiri, also known as Abu Abdul Rahman, an Iraqi national.

This operation followed extensive and long-term intelligence work, including a precise infiltration of the organizational structures and hidden cells within the camp. Our forces confirmed that the arrested individual played a pivotal role in reactivating the organization's cells, coordinating ideological and military recruitment, and manufacturing and preparing explosives for transport outside the camp to target civilians, our forces, and service institutions, with the aim of sowing chaos and undermining stability.

This terrorist's mission was to revive the organization's structure within the camp and transform it into a planning and management platform for cells extending beyond its borders. His arrest represents a profound blow to the organization's capabilities and a crucial turning point in its dismantling." Regarding its communications network, funding channels, and movements.

The Syrian Democratic Forces affirm that al-Hol Camp will not become a haven for terrorism, and the suffering of the residents and displaced persons will not be allowed to become a cover for the emergence of a new generation of violence.

Our forces also emphasize that strategic coordination with the International Coalition forces continues according to systematic plans aimed at eradicating the organization at its roots and transforming the liberated areas into zones of lasting security and stability.
