Syrian artists’ delegation visits DAA , praises model of coexistence

 The delegation was received by the Co-Presidency of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration, represented by Avin Sweid and Hussein Othman, along with their deputy, Gabriel Shamoun.

 During the meeting, the Co-Presidency welcomed the artists and commended their efforts in fostering cultural exchange and artistic openness among Syrians. They emphasized the importance of collective work to preserve Syria’s cultural heritage and diversity, reaffirming the Administration’s commitment to the principle of peaceful coexistence among all components of Syrian society within the framework of a unified, decentralized Syria.

 The Co-Presidency further highlighted that North and East Syria is governed based on democratic principles and political and cultural pluralism, underscoring the pivotal role of women in the Autonomous Administration. They called for active female participation in shaping Syria’s future and emphasized the necessity of ensuring women's representation in decision-making positions.

 For their part, the artists expressed their admiration for the Autonomous Administration’s experience, particularly regarding the role of women. They praised the spirit of unity and coexistence among the region’s diverse components and stressed the importance of conveying this positive experience to their respective regions.

 The delegation affirmed that Syria’s future must be inclusive of all its people, rejecting exclusionary and marginalizing policies. They also expressed their willingness to continue collaborating with the Culture Authority on future artistic projects.
