Syriac Union Party: Turkish attacks came in agreement with Damascus government

A member of the Central Committee of the Syriac Union Party denounced the Turkish occupation's escalation of its attacks on the northern and eastern region of Syria, and explained: "It came in agreement with the Damascus government, which is also trying to undermine the project of Democratic Autonomous Administration."

Member of the Central Committee of the Syriac Union Party, Ishaq Jindo, condemned the Turkish attacks on North and East Syria, and said: “The Turkish occupation attacks are to fight the Autonomous Administration economically, militarily and politically, to destabilize the region that the region enjoys, and to pressure the people to displace them.”

Regarding the silence of the Damascus government, Ishaq Jindo explained that: “The position of the Damascus government since the beginning of the Syrian crisis is very weak, because it handed over the reins to Russia and Iran, thus losing its legitimacy, and the Turkish occupation’s recent escalation of its attacks on North and East Syria came in agreement with the Damascus government, which is It is also trying to undermine the Democratic Autonomous Administration project.”

Jindo noted that: "The new social contract for the north-eastern region of Syria meets the aspirations of the people and guarantees their rights, and was built on a democratic thought that fights all authoritarian, dictatorial regimes that do not want this project, because it is an important turning point in the region."

Jindo stressed that: "It has become clear to all of us that the Turkish occupation has escalated its attacks on the north-eastern region of Syria after the ratification of the new social contract, targeting service facilities and vital and health facilities via military aircraft and drones."

Jindo explained: "With our cohesion and solidarity, we were able to thwart all the plans of the Turkish occupation, and by rallying the components of the region - the Arabs, Kurds, Armenians, Circassians, Syriacs and Assyrians - around the Syrian Democratic Forces, we were able to overcome all the plans that aim to thwart the AANES project."

Ishaq Jindo called on: “International forces to put an end to the crimes of the Turkish occupation against the people of north-eastern Syria, and to impose a flight ban immediately.”
