Sweida rally urges action on missing and forcibly disappeared persons

The city of Shahba in Sweida witnessed a protest rally under the slogan "We Carry Their Cause in Our Hearts," calling for the disclosure of the fate of missing persons and efforts to return them to their families.

In solidarity with the families of detainees and the forcibly disappeared, the Sanad Team, in cooperation with the Bayti Ana Baytak Organization, organized the rally in Shahba to support the families of detainees and those forcibly disappeared.

Participants carried banners and photographs of detainees and missing persons, expressing solidarity with their families and demanding that their fate be revealed, their release secured, and the suffering of their loved ones brought to an end.

The participants stressed that the issue of detainees and the forcibly disappeared is a humanitarian cause that requires serious action by the relevant authorities and human rights and humanitarian organizations. They called for intensified efforts to determine the fate of all missing persons, ensure their return to their families, and hold those responsible for enforced disappearances accountable in accordance with international laws and conventions.
