The results of the high school certificate exams (literary, scientific, and vocational), under the curriculum of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, were announced yesterday.

According to information obtained from Samira Haji Ali, the Co-Chair of the Education Authority in North and East Syria, 4,902 students took the exams. Of those, 3,424 passed, while 1,478 failed, resulting in a success rate of 70%.

The last centralized exams for both preparatory and secondary certificates were held in the 2021–2022 academic year. Since then, the centralized exam system in public education has been abolished, and a decentralized system was adopted, in which students take their final exams at their schools.

The total number of preparatory and secondary students enrolled in schools under the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria for the 2024–2025 academic year stands at 22,620.
