Speaker of Turkish parliament meets with political party

In the framework of the "Peace and Democratic Society" process, Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş received today the representatives of the political parties in the parliamentary committee for resolving the Kurdish issue. The reception came in preparation for the first meeting of the committee, scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday.

The meeting took place in the parliament building and was visited by Gulistan Kılıç Koçiğit and Deputy Chair of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Fethi Yıldız and Deputy Chair of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Abdulhamit Gül and Deputy Chair of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Bülent Kaya and Deputy Chair of the Yeni Yöl (New Path) Party (YEY) Party (New Path) Party, and Murat Emir and Deputy Chair of the Republican People's Party (CHP) Party.

Arrangements for tomorrow's session of the committee, when it will officially begin work, were made at the meeting, Mesopotamia News Agency reports. The particulars of its mission are expected to be deliberated.

The step is being taken within the framework of new political initiatives to achieve rapprochement and establish a parliamentary foundation for resolving the Kurdish issue within the framework of an overall democratic vision.
