Sheikh Murshid al-Khaznawi: Kurdish parties must unite in order to protect people

Sheikh Murshid al-Khaznawi delivered a speech about the recent developments in Syria and the importance of the unity of the Kurdish political parties, in the center of the city of Girkê Legê in the Jazira Canton in the NE Syria, in the presence of a number of intellectuals, politicians and writers, in addition to members of institutions and families.

Before delivering the speech, the audience observed a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs. Then Sheikh Murshid Al-Khaznawi welcomed the attendees.

Al-Khaznawi called on the Kurdish people and parties, and all components, to unite ranks to preserve the gains achieved thanks to the sacrifices of thousands of martyrs, and to guarantee the rights of the Kurdish people in the future Syria.

And called on the Kurdish parties to transcend narrow partisan and personal interests and focus on Kurdish unity, and stressed that the time has come to prove the rights of the Kurds after years of denial by the Baathist regime.

Al-Khaznawi stressed, "Today a new history is being written in Syria, and we are all required to write the future of our generations so that they do not say that you have lost our rights."

He stressed the importance of preserving and developing democratic Autonomous-Administration
