The countryside of Jableh, within the Latakia governorate, has witnessed escalating security tensions over recent hours, marked by the deployment of vehicles affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government forces across several locations.

The town of Al-Daliyah in Jableh countryside experienced heightened security strain following an incident yesterday involving local residents and a figure associated with the so-called "Committee for Civil Peace" notably the brother of Fadi Saqr during his attempt, accompanied by a Reuters journalist, to conduct interviews with the inhabitants.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the locals expelled the delegation in protest against what they described as “distortion of facts.”

Subsequent to the incident, dozens of vehicles belonging to the General Security forces under the Syrian Interim Government were deployed, positioning themselves at the town’s entrance in the "Al-Tahoun" area and in "Dweir Babaida," amid a notable state of heightened security alert.

According to the Observatory, the convoy comprised approximately 200 heavily armed personnel who advanced from Jableh city toward Al-Qutailbiya subdistrict, Al-Daliyah axis, and the village of Beit Ana.

Meanwhile, a number of residents in neighboring villages evacuated their homes out of fear of potential clashes or retaliatory operations.

On September 3, a patrol from the General Security forces raided the village of Qarn Hila in Jableh countryside with dozens of vehicles, conducting house-to-house searches that resulted in the arrest of five young men from the area. The village also witnessed widespread vehicle presence in agricultural lands and surrounding forests.
