Security talks in Aleppo on lifting siege of Kobani

The meeting between the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in Kobani and the security leadership in Aleppo focused on mechanisms for implementing the provisions of the 29 January agreement, as well as coordination between the two sides to lift the siege on Kobani and strengthen security cooperation in the city and its countryside, contributing to improved security conditions and facilitating civilian movement.

A short while ago, a meeting concluded between a delegation from the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in the city of Kobani and the security leadership in Aleppo. The discussions focused on mechanisms for implementing the provisions of the 29 January agreement and ways to enhance security coordination between the two sides.

During the meeting, both parties discussed how to coordinate efforts to lift the siege imposed on the city of Kobani, in addition to organizing mechanisms for cooperation between security forces in Kobani and its countryside. These steps aim to improve the security situation and facilitate the movement of civilians.

The Asayish delegation included the Co-Chair of Internal Security in Kobani, Aren Kobani, along with a number of members of the security forces.

The delegation was received by Colonel Mohammed Abdel Ghani and members of the Internal Security in Aleppo Governorate, at the Internal Security headquarters in the city.
