Security Forces issue statement on violations near Sheikh Maqsoud

The Internal Security Forces in Aleppo issued a statement regarding the Transitional Government’s violations in the vicinity of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

In their statement, the Internal Security Forces said: “In a new and deliberate breach of the signed agreements aimed at de-escalation, our forces in the Internal Security Forces – Aleppo, this afternoon, recorded a new violation of the ceasefire agreement in the vicinity of the al-Jandoul roundabout – Industrial Zone, by forces affiliated with the so-called ‘Transitional Government.’

This act constitutes a clear threat to stability and security in the region and a provocative attempt to drag the area into a new military escalation that endangers civilians’ lives.

Furthermore, these forces have established a new military post inside the Armenian Cemetery, adjacent to the graveyard area surrounding the eastern section of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood — a provocative move that violates the sanctity of public and sacred places and represents a serious escalation undermining efforts to maintain calm.

We in the Internal Security Forces – Aleppo hold the Transitional Government responsible for these repeated violations and reaffirm our full commitment to protecting civilians and maintaining security and stability. We also call on the guarantor parties to assume their responsibilities and put an end to these ongoing breaches.”
