SDC discusses strengthening political coordination with renaissance council

During a visit by a delegation from the Syrian Renaissance Council to its headquarters in Damascus, the Syrian Democratic Council discussed the importance of enhancing communication and coordination among Syrian political powers. The discussion also addressed the role of alliances and mutual understandings in unifying efforts and supporting the process of building Syria on a participatory basis that fosters stability and a political solution.

The Damascus office of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) received a delegation from the Syrian Renaissance Council, led by its head, Amer Deeb. The delegation was welcomed by Ali Rahmoun, Deputy Co-chair of the SDC, alongside several members of the Council’s presidential body, according to a statement published on the Council’s official website today.

The meeting addressed a range of political and economic developments in the Syrian arena, with both sides exchanging views on current events and their implications for Syria's future amidst the political phase the country is undergoing.

The two parties also discussed the importance of enhancing communication and coordination among various Syrian political powers, as well as the role of political alliances and understandings in unifying efforts and contributing to the rebuilding of Syria on foundations that ensure the participation of diverse powers and components, foster stability and peace, and consolidate political solutions.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and consultation among Syrian political powers, noting that this contributes to formulating shared visions regarding national issues and supports the process of building a more stable and pluralistic Syria.
