Russian air escalation in Syria coinciding with military preparations by Damascus, mercenaries

The areas occupied by Turkey in northwestern Syria witnessed a noticeable escalation in Russian attacks during the past 48 hours, the first of its kind in more than two months, coinciding with the Damascus forces bringing in large military reinforcements to several areas in the countryside of Aleppo, in parallel with the mercenaries of "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" sending military reinforcements, in preparation for the attack on Aleppo.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the number of raids reached 46, focused on the surroundings of the villages of Al-Kanda, Sheikh Sandyan, and Kafridin in the countryside of Jisr al-Shughur, the hills of Kabana in the northern countryside of Latakia, the village of Al-Qarqour in the Al-Ghab Plain area in the western countryside of Hama, the Ain Al-Zarqa area near Darkoush, the forest of Basanqul in the countryside of Idlib, the forest of Batnta, and west of Maarat Misrin near the Sheikh Bahr area.

These raids come after the Damascus government forces brought in additional military reinforcements that included units from the Fourth Division, the 25th Special Tasks Division, the Fifth Corps, and the Republican Guard, and their deployment in the suburbs of Aleppo and its countryside.

As well as with the movement of the mercenaries of "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham", and their mobilization of mercenaries and equipment, indicating their readiness to launch attacks on areas controlled by the Damascus government forces.
