Rojava delegation meets Kurdistan Democratic Party leader Masoud Barzani

A Rojava delegation, including the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, the Commander of the Women’s Protection Units, Rohilat Afrin, and the Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Ilham Ahmed, met with the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani.

Today, the Rojava delegation met with Masoud Barzani at the Birmam resort in Hawler Governorate, Southern Kurdistan.

The meeting discussed the latest political and military developments in Syria, relations among Kurdish parties, and ways to enhance joint coordination in the upcoming phase.

During the meeting, Masoud Barzani called on the Interim Government and the Syrian Democratic Forces to adhere to the provisions of the agreement concluded between them. He emphasized the importance of coordination and understanding among all relevant parties to help protect and consolidate the rights of the Kurdish people in Syria within a constitutional framework that ensures political participation and legal recognition.

This meeting follows a series of meetings held by the Rojava delegation in Southern Kurdistan, where the delegation met with the President of the Southern Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, and subsequently with the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, as part of diplomatic efforts to strengthen dialogue and coordination on developments in the Syrian file and the Kurdish issue.
