Rijal Al Karama movement denies allegations of withdrawing heavy weapons from Sweida

In a statement, the Rijal Al KaramaMovement denied reports circulating about the withdrawal of heavy weapons from a village in Sweida, describing them as "fabricated recordings and fabricated rumors" aimed at inciting strife and inciting public opinion. These reports are part of what it called "organized media disinformation campaigns" targeting the unity of the mountain after attempts to undermine it failed.

The movement affirmed that weapons in Sweida "have not and will not be subject to negotiation or bargaining with any party," emphasizing that coordination regarding them falls within the framework of its efforts to protect residents and ensure security, nothing more.

The statement also emphasized "the continuation of full coordination with the Spiritual Presidency, and the Spiritual Council, in an effort to formulate a collective vision for resolving the governorate's crises." It affirmed "the rejection of any military or security intervention from outside Sweida, while emphasizing the movement's commitment to a firm position that supports the local administration of the governorate's affairs through competent cadres who represent the aspirations of the people.

The movement concluded its statement by emphasizing that the Rijal Al Karama are not just a military formation, but rather a national project that has sacrificed dozens of martyrs, and whose fighters have been stationed on the mountain's outskirts for weeks, defending their land and honor. It renewed its call to the people of Sweida not to be swayed by rumors, emphasizing that "awareness, unity, and national and religious references remain the greatest support against attempts to cast doubt and accuse them of treason."
