Residents of Kobani: Resistance our choice for new phase

Residents of the city of Kobani reaffirmed their commitment to steadfastness and defending their city, stressing that “resistance is the foundation of the new phase.”

The residents of Kobani continue their resistance activities in Free Woman Square, raising the slogan “Resistance Is Life.”

The event began with a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs, followed by a speech delivered by Jahid Hassan, an administrator of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM). He emphasized that the Kurdish people are living through a new phase in the twenty-first century, stressing that the enemy will not be able to defeat their will and strength.

He explained that what is required today is to strengthen the spirit of resistance and adopt it as the foundation of struggle, affirming that the Kurds will use all their energy to defend their existence and rights. He noted that the current phase represents a new beginning that requires vigilance and adherence to the choice of resistance.

The event concluded with participants forming traditional dabke circles to the rhythm of revolutionary songs.
