Today, April 25th, marks Martyrs' Day and the ninth anniversary of the Turkish airstrike on Mount Qaraçokh,  which resulted in the martyrdom of 20 fighters from the People's Protection Units (YPG) and the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), as well as war correspondents at the media center, and the wounding of 18 other fighters.

This morning, residents of the Jazera region headed to the mountain's summit to participate in commemorating Martyrs' Day and remembering the martyrs of the Qaraçokh massacre, in an event organized by the Martyrs' Families Council in the city of Derik.

The program is expected to begin with speeches from both the Martyrs' Families Council and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
