Release of detainees’ batch included in general amnesty law

In implementation of the General Amnesty Law, No. 10, issued by the Democratic Peoples’ Council in North and East Syria, on July 17, the Social Justice Council, in coordination with the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria, released a new batch of detainees in the city of Hasaka.

In the presence of the General Relations Office of the Internal Security Forces and notable sheikhs and clans of the region, a batch (50 people) were released from the central prison in the city of Hasaka. The remainder are scheduled to be released in batches in the coming days.

Thus, the number of detainees who were released and included in the amnesty law reached 1,111 people.

The first batch included in the amnesty law was released on July 21.

The amnesty law, No. 10, was issued after a public meeting held between the Democratic Autonomous Administration, the Syrian Democratic Council, and the Syrian Democratic Forces on July 17, in response to the demands of the tribal sheikhs and notables during the second National Unity Forum of the Syrian Clans and Components.
