Registration for University in NE Syria begins

Registration for university admissions began this morning at the universities of Rojava, Kobani, and the East for the 2025-2026 academic year at the accredited centers: Rojava University - Qamishli, Rojava University - Hasaka (Civil Institute), Rojava University – Rimelan (Faculty of Petroleum Engineering), Kobani University, University of the East - Raqqa, and the Aleppo Center at the Shahidah Zozan Institute and Martyr Judi School in the Ashrafieh neighborhood.

Students in the science stream wishing to enroll in colleges and institutes will take an entrance exam scheduled for September 21, with the possibility of extending the deadline.

The universities also accept high school diplomas issued by the Syrian government for the 2024-2025 academic year at the University of the East and the branches of Rojava University in Hasaka.

According to Rojava University administrators, students who have advanced to the second year at Al-Furat University can complete the Syrian curriculum at the Faculty of Economics and the Health Institute in Hasaka. First-year students will study Rojava University's curriculum, with registration available in some branches, such as physics, mathematics, Arabic literature, classroom teaching, geography, and the Health Institute.

Registration for the competitive exam ends on September 19, while the new academic year begins on October 12
