Several countries cautioned that the growing confrontation could push the region toward a comprehensive conflict with serious repercussions for regional and international security.

Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan, describing them as a “blatant aggression and a flagrant violation of state sovereignty.” It expressed full solidarity with the targeted countries and affirmed its readiness to provide all possible support, warning of the grave consequences of continued violations.

Jordan also condemned the Iranian attacks, including ballistic missile strikes on its territory, reaffirming its firm support for fellow Arab states in the face of any assault on their sovereignty, security, and stability.

In a notable stance, Oman expressed regret over the US-Israeli attack on Iran and called for an immediate halt to military operations. Omani Foreign Minister Bar al-Bou Saedi stated that “active and serious” negotiations had once again been undermined, warning of the risk of further escalation and urging the UN Security Council to convene an emergency session to impose a ceasefire.

Iraq likewise condemned the US-Israeli strikes on Iran and warned against being drawn into the conflict, particularly after two people were killed in airstrikes in southern Iraq. The Iraqi government stressed its rejection of the use of its land, airspace, or territorial waters as a launching point or corridor for any attack, reaffirming its commitment to sovereignty and neutrality.

Internationally, Russia condemned the US-Israeli attack. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, described the strike as a blatant violation of international law, warning of a “dangerous gamble” that could lead to a humanitarian, economic, and possibly radiological catastrophe.

French President Emmanuel Macron called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, warning that the current escalation poses a risk to all parties and stressing the need for an immediate cessation of hostilities. He also emphasized the importance of returning to negotiations, noting that France is taking measures to protect its citizens and interests in the Middle East.

Brazil expressed “deep concern” over the reciprocal strikes, urging all sides to respect international law, exercise restraint, and protect civilians and infrastructure.

Egypt condemned the Iranian attacks on Arab states, describing them as violations of sovereignty and warning against the region’s slide into “comprehensive chaos” and the potentially catastrophic consequences that could follow.
