Rally in Aleppo calls for leader Ocalan’s physical freedom

The Women’s Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, in cooperation with the Women’s Council in the Martyrs' Families Council in Aleppo, organized a rally calling for lifting the isolation on Abdullah Ocalan and releasing him to lead the peace process in the region.

Residents, displaced people from Afrin, members and representatives of political parties, civil institutions, councils, communes, and internal security forces participated in the march. They carried a photo of Abdullah Öcalan and a banner reading: “With the communal spirit and the democratic society, we will live free with Leader Apo,” along with flags.

The rally began in front of the Olive Roundabout in Aleppo’s Ashrafieh neighborhood, with participants chanting slogans praising Abdullah Öcalan’s resistance, and continued toward the Revolution Martyrs Roundabout in the same neighborhood.

There, the participants observed a moment of silence. Ronahi Youssef, an administrator at Shababah FM Radio and a member of the Women’s Initiative for the Freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, delivered a speech emphasizing the need to release leader Ocalan so that he may lead the peace process he launched after more than a quarter-century of resistance in Imrali Prison.

Hafiza Hussein, a member of the PYD Women's Council and the Women’s Initiative for the Freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, explained that the leader established a philosophy based on unity and tolerance and has become a reference point for all those striving to build a just and peaceful society.

The rally concluded with chants of “No life without the leader.”
