Qamishlo Residents: Ocalan’s message paves way forpeace, security

In coincidence with the International Day of Peace, the leader Abdullah Ocalan sent a message, in which he said: "Our call for peace and a democratic solution is not just a fleeting political stance; it is a historic strategy and step." With this call, the doors to a new era of democratic life based on peace have been opened, both in Turkey and throughout the Middle East, where it will mark the end of wars and destruction.

In a historic precedent, the leader Abdullah Ocalan issued a call for Peace and a Democratic Society" on February 27th.

Shaha Barjas Saeed commented that the leader Abdullah Ocalan's message is a message of peace and freedom, and that the authorities in Turkey should support it and accelerate the steps towards peace, benefiting both the Kurdish and Turkish peoples together. In addition, she called on women in Turkey to support and endorse the peace process.

She emphasized, "The Kurdish people support the leader Abdullah Ocalan’s efforts until the end," and addressed the Turkish authorities, "Open the way to peace,democracy and freedom. We want goodness and peace, not bloodshed. We have rights, and it is our right to live freely and in peace, and to use our language. You claim to seek peace, yet you prevent a Kurdish mother from speaking in her language. We did not forbid the Turks nor any other people to use their own languages. We, the Kurds, want to speak in our language and live in our homeland alongside the Turkish people in peace, democracy, and freedom."

She affirmed, "We, Rojava people, support the leader Abdullah Ocalan’s efforts for peace. With his message, he has blocked the path to bloodshed and seeks to bring safety and peace to everyone."

For her part, Mary Zoro expressed her happiness and joy with the message sent by the leader Abdullah Ocalan, saying, "With this message, the leader opens the doors to peace in the Middle East. She continued, "We support and endorse his message and the steps toward peace and the resolution of the Kurdish issue."

She made clear, "We want the Kurdish issue to be resolved, and for the Kurdish people to live in peace and harmony with their language, culture, and heritage alongside the Turkish, Arab, Persian, and other peoples. We also want to live, like all the peoples of the world, in freedom and peace with our leader."

For his part, the citizen Abdul Rahman Ashiti said, "The call for peace and a democratic society is not recent, asthe leader Abdullah Ocalan called for peace in the 1980s and 1990s and proposed solutions to the Kurdish issue.Moreover, today's call is not only about the fate of a society but also a strategic matter."

He explained that the Turkish state has not made any progress so far, while the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) has laid down its arms. He emphasized, "We support the steps of the leader Abdullah Ocalan to the end, so that we can internationalize the Kurdish issue globally."
