Qamishlo Municipality addresses water issues in several neighborhoods

The Water Directorate of Qamishlo Municipality launched urgent measures aimed at easing the residents’ suffering and improving water distribution, particularly as high temperatures continue to affect the area.

Immediately after receiving the complaints, maintenance teams were dispatched to the affected neighborhoods to carry out technical inspections, identify the sources of disruption, and begin repairs as quickly as possible to restore normal water flow.

The Water Directorate confirmed that its technical teams are working around the clock, despite harsh weather conditions and extreme heat, to ensure that all households in the city have access to water.

Residents were urged to cooperate by conserving water and avoiding unnecessary usage. The Directorate emphasized that saving every drop is a shared responsibility, particularly during times that require collective efforts from both citizens and institutions.

The Directorate reaffirmed its commitment to continuing maintenance operations and improving the performance of the water network until water is restored consistently across all areas of Qamishlo. It also pledged to keep the public informed on the progress of repair and maintenance activities.
