Qamishli to Host Conference on Kurdish Unity and Stance

The conference "Kurdish Unity and Stance in Rojava Kurdistan" will begin tomorrow in Qamishli, with the participation of more than 400 figures from Rojava, Northern and Southern Kurdistan, and figures from several Syrian regions. A large number of media outlets will cover the event.

The Kurdish Conference in Rojava, which has been a topic of discussion for years, will be held tomorrow (April 26, 2025) under the title "Unity of Kurdish Ranks and Position in Rojava Kurdistan." The conference will last for one day, starting tomorrow (April 26, 2025) in the Qamishli Hall in Azadi Park in Qamishli.

According to the preparatory committee, representatives of all Kurdish parties, women's and youth organizations, cultural and social figures, artists, and tribal sheikhs from Rojava will participate in the conference, along with Kurdish figures from Damascus, Aleppo, Hama, al-Bab, and Azaz.

A delegation from the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party from Northern Kurdistan will also be in attendance, along with representatives of parties and organizations from Southern Kurdistan. Letters of support from parties abroad will also be read.

The first part of the conference is open to the media.

The conference will open at 10:00 a.m. with a welcoming speech and the election of the conference committee. This will be followed by an opening speech by the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi. Discussions and speeches will then be held by the participating guests, in addition to the reading of the letters sent to the conference.

The draft unity document will be approved.

After the guest speeches and discussions, the conference will be closed to the media. The conference will include a discussion of the previously proposed "Draft Kurdish Unity Document," which will be reviewed and approved in its final form. The conference will conclude with the issuance of a final statement presenting its outcomes to the public.

Media Coverage

All Kurdish and foreign media outlets invited. According to the Preparatory Committee, more than 60 media outlets and nearly 200 journalists were invited to cover the event.
