The Democratic Union Party (PYD) condemned the continuous bombing of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on the NE Syria, and specifically mentioned the Tishreen Dam and the protesters there, in addition to the bombing that targeted civilians in the countryside of the city of Ain Issa and the city of Sarin.

Yesterday, a Turkish occupation drone bombed a popular market in the city of Sarin, killing 12 citizens and wounding 13 others, including children, according to what the Internal Security Forces reported. The ground bombardment on the same day also led to the martyrdom of 3 citizens, including two children, in the countryside of Zarghan city in Al-Jazira Canton, and the martyrdom of 3 other citizens and the injury of 9 in the countryside of Ain Issa city in the Euphrates Canton

The party's statement, which was published on official websites, noted that targeting civilians is "a new massacre added to the series of massacres committed by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries against our region and our secured people over the years." The statement stressed that these violations "are nothing but a continuation of the approach of genocide and terrorism practiced by Turkey with the aim of undermining the will of the peoples of NE Syria and targeting their democratic project, in order to achieve its occupation ambitions and its efforts to revive ISIS in the region."

The party stated that these "targets and massacres committed confirm the Turkish state's continued violations of all international covenants and conventions."

The Democratic Union Party (PYD) called on international powers, the United Nations, and human rights and humanitarian bodies to act instead of silence, and to intervene immediately to stop these massacres against the peoples of NE Syria, and to form specialized committees to investigate the facts, document these massacres, and hold the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries accountable.

The Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries launch a wide wave of attacks on the NE Syria by air and land, most concentrated in the Tishreen Dam area and the countryside of the city of Kobani, matched by the defense of the Syrian Democratic Forces with all its military formations.

Since January 8, thousands of people have been protesting above the Tishreen Dam against the attacks of the Turkish occupation, taking turns to protest, and they have been subjected to direct bombardment several times by the occupation, which has led to the martyr
