Protesters: Continuing our protest at Tishrin Dam exposes Turkish occupation’s failure

For 28 consecutive days, the people of North and East Syria have been protesting at Tishrin Dam against the attacks launched by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries since December 8. These attacks have targeted both the protesters and the dam.

As part of the ongoing protests, ANHA agency conducted interviews with several protesters stationed at Tishrin Dam.

Najah Al-Habib stated that the steadfastness of the people at Tishrin Dam is a clear expression of the failure of the Turkish occupation’s plans. She emphasized that the Arab community is a key supporter and ally in the resistance at Tishrin Dam.

She affirmed that their primary goal in these protests is to protect their land and the achievements they have made over the years through the sacrifices of the region’s people.

For his part, Hassan Hamza stressed the continuation of the protests at Tishrin Dam, describing it as the "Dam of Resistance." He pointed out the necessity of protecting the dam from any potential disasters or damage caused by the ongoing attacks by the Turkish occupation.

Hamza also praised the role of all participants in the protests, noting that drone attacks and artillery shelling would not deter them from continuing their protest.

Meanwhile, Alaa Ibrahim commended the courage of the protesters stationed at the dam and condemned the Turkish occupation’s targeting of the region’s communities, accusing it of attempting to sow discord and incite conflict.

Alaa Ibrahim described Tishrin Dam as a symbol of "resistance and struggle" against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.
