TISHRIN DAM

The daily resistance of the people of North and East Syria at the Tishrin Dam has become an epic that embodies the strength of popular will in the face of Turkish occupation attacks. The dam stands as a witness to the resilience of a people who refuse to yield or surrender.

Today, the protesters at the Tishrin Dam marked the anniversary of Mother Awesh, mother of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and remembered the martyrs of the dam who lost their lives during attacks by the Turkish occupation forces on the demonstrators.

The protesters affirm that the resistance at the Tishrin Dam has become a historical symbol of the peoples’ struggle and that they will continue to defend the dam from attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

The protesters performed Friday prayers on the body of the dam, accompanied by prayers for peace and security to prevail in Syria as a whole, and in North and East Syria in particular.
