Popular solidarity at Tishrin Dam facing occupation for 6th day

The sit-in at Tishrin Dam continues for the sixth consecutive day, with participants affirming, "We will not abandon Tishrin Dam."

The sit-in at the dam entered its sixth consecutive day, with residents of Tal Tamr, Darbasiyah, Zirgan, Hasaka, Shaddadi, and Amuda continuing their participation for the second day in a row.

Yesterday, Saturday, hundreds of residents from these cities headed to Tabqa Canton and proceeded toward Tishrin Dam to demand an end to the attacks launched by the Turkish occupying state and its mercenaries on the dam, preventing its collapse. They took over the vigil from the residents of Euphrates Canton, who had maintained it for four consecutive days.

A convoy from the Tabqa, Raqqa, and Deir ez-Zor Cantons is expected to reach the dam to join the residents currently maintaining the sit-in.

Despite the cold weather, the participants continued their activities at the dam while the Turkish occupying state and its mercenaries targeted the surrounding areas and villages with artillery. They reaffirmed their commitment to the dam, chanting slogans: "We will not abandon Tishrin Dam."
