Politicians: National Dialogue Conference Committee is exclusionary; does not represent all Syrian factions

The Damascus authorities announced the formation of a "Preparatory Committee for national dialogue", but this committee is exclusionary and does not include all Syrian components and the Syrian social fabric.

The Democratic Autonomous Administration in the North and East of Syria confirmed in a statement that the committee formed to prepare for the "National Dialogue Conference" by the Damascus authorities does not represent all factions of the Syrian people, and does not meet the aspirations of its various components.

In this regard, ANHA's agency conducted an interview with a number of Syrian politicians, and the Secretary-General of the Syrian Democratic Belonging Party, Raja al-Damaqsi, said: "The truth is that the Damascus authorities were unable to involve all components; they do not have this option, because those who assigned them with this issue put them within a narrow path."

Raja al-Damaqsi explained: "We had hoped that the Damascus authorities would open the door more to reach all Syrians, and to represent all components, and through restriction we will not reach a comprehensive and inclusive Syrian constitution."

 Raja al-Damaqsi demanded: "The new authority in Damascus must implement its words in reality of its actions; say no exclusion, but is this limited form deliberate exclusion or spontaneous exclusion? In the end, it is exclusion, and thus the committee is weak and they will encounter problems in the future."

 Al-Damaqsi noted: "There are many crises that we must overcome to build a new Syria, by reconsidering the formation of the committee, because the Syrians have a history, nobility and civilization, and the Syrians saved the world and followed important policies and drew regions, and even internationally the Syrian is capable of influence, and the new Syrian administration must reconsider the formation of the committee because Syria is a diverse country and not a single spectrum." Without the Kurds, there can be no solution for Syria

Vice- Head of the International Federation of Arab Journalists Hassan Zaza stressed that the national dialogue is very necessary in this sensitive stage that Syria is going through, and the participation of the Kurds in this dialogue is necessary, and without the Kurds, there can be no solution for Syria.

Hassan Zaza pointed out that the peoples of North and East Syria established the Democratic Autonomous Administration, which is a successful experience in the Middle East, but representatives of the Autonomous Administration were not invited to participate in the Preparatory Committee for the National Dialogue Conference, and this indicates exclusion.

Zaza added: "Most likely, there is exclusion of components of Syrian society from this committee, which included one color, and until now it is not known when this meeting will take place and whether it will succeed in this way or not? This committee will fail if it includes one color. The committee must be national and include components of Syrian society, especially the Kurds; because they played a major role in the national struggle in Syria."

 Hassan Zaza pointed out that the democratic forces in Syria propose signing a Syrian national solidarity document that includes all political and social forces in Syria, and calls for the involvement of all Syrians in the Syrian political process.
