A meeting of political parties in the North and East Syria region was held today, attended by Ilham Ahmed, Co-Chair of the Department of Foreign Relations of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, at the headquarters of the Diplomatic Relations Council in Qamishlo.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the latest political developments in Syria. Ilham Ahmed spoke about the ongoing talks between representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria and the Syrian Transitional Government, in addition to engagements with international actors.

Political party representatives reaffirmed their shared commitment with the Democratic Autonomous Administration to continue dialogue with the Syrian Transitional Government. They underscored the importance of fully implementing the provisions of the March 10 Agreement, which brought together the head of the Transitional Government, Ahmad al-Shar’a, and the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi. The agreement aims to facilitate the construction of a decentralized, pluralistic Syria that protects the interests of all its diverse communities.
