As part of joint coordination between the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, the Security Committee, and the Migration and Displacement Committee of the Iraqi Parliament, a new group of Iraqi families residing in al-Hol Camp was repatriated today.

The new group consisted of 233 families, totaling about 854 individuals.

This marks the 12th repatriation of Iraqis from the camp since the beginning of this year, and the 29th since the start of the process of returning Iraqi families from al-Hol to their homeland.

Since 2021, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has been organizing repatriation trips for Iraqi residents of al-Hol Camp who wish to return, in coordination with the Iraqi government and the International Coalition against ISIS.

Al-Hol Camp houses tens of thousands of women and children of ISIS mercenaries, from both Arab and foreign nationalities, making it a ticking time bomb. Repeated warnings have been issued about the danger these individuals pose to both local and international security.
