The western Daraa countryside witnessed field movements by Israeli forces over the past several hours, alongside gunfire directed at a neighborhood in Ma’riya village.

After midnight on Thursday-Friday, Israeli forces opened fire toward one of the village’s neighborhoods, with no reports of injuries.

Israeli forces have continued their movements in the area for several days, with foot patrols advancing from the Al-Jazira barracks toward the mortar company site as part of efforts to strengthen their presence and deployment along the border strip and neutral plains in the Daraa countryside.

These movements coincide with incursions and redeployments by Israeli forces in various areas of southern Syria, raising concerns about their impact on civilians and farmers in border villages and towns.

On Thursday morning, August 13, an Israeli patrol accompanied by a military bulldozer, three vehicles and infantry personnel entered the Yarmouk Basin area in the western Daraa countryside. The bulldozer removed rocks and barriers from the Abdeen-Al-Aridah road.
