Nurse seriously injured by mercenaries in occupied Azaz

A nurse was seriously injured in an attack by "Hayat Tahrir al-Sham" mercenaries on the medical staff at the "Blue Crescent" hospital in the occupied city of Azaz, near the Bab al-Salama border crossing between Syria and Turkey.

A local source from the area reported that a group of "Hayat Tahrir al-Sham" mercenaries, led by a man named "Hatem," verbally and physically assaulted the medical staff at the "Blue Crescent" hospital in occupied Azaz on Thursday, September 12. The attack took place near the Bab al-Salama border crossing between Syria and Turkey and resulted in the destruction of the emergency room's contents.

The source added that the assault led to one nurse being seriously injured after being struck with the butt of a gun, causing fractures and bruises to his head. He was transferred to the intensive care unit, though the reason for the attack remains unknown.

Areas of Syria occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries experience rampant insecurity, with ongoing crimes against the remaining residents, including killings, theft, extortion, and kidnappings for ransom, as well as violent infighting among the mercenaries over the properties of displaced people.
