Number of arrivals to NE Syria from Lebanon reaches 7,703

The Crisis Cell, specialized in matters concerning returnees and arrivals from Lebanon, continues to receive them at the border crossings. The cell has designated two main crossings for reception, which are the "Tabqa Crossing" and the "Tayha Crossing" in the Manbij Canton.

In the past few days, 7,703 people have arrived in the NE Syria region through the Tabqa and Tayha crossings, including 9 Lebanese nationals and 9 bodies of residents from Raqqa, Tabqa, and Manbij who were killed in the Israeli bombing of Lebanon.

The escalation of military conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has driven tens of thousands of Syrians, who either work in Lebanon or had moved there during the onset of the Syrian crisis, to return to their homeland. The latest escalation resulted in the death of dozens of Syrians.

From a humanitarian standpoint, the Democratic Autonomous Administration's representation in Lebanon has taken on the responsibility of facilitating the return of Syrians who wish to return to the region. On September 24, a committee was formed to follow up on the affairs of Syrian refugees, particularly those from the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

The Crisis Cell is responsible for setting up tents to accommodate those arriving from Lebanon, providing services until they can reach their intended destinations.

For those without shelter or relatives in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, they will be transferred to camps designated by the administration to house refugees, such as the Al-Adnaniyah camp in the countryside of Raqqa Canton and the Al-Arisha and Roz camps in the Jazera Canton.
