Loud explosions were heard after midnight on Thursday-Friday in Aleppo and its countryside, resulting from unidentified airstrikes.

According to eyewitnesses and videos shared by activists on social media, the airstrikes targeted former regime military sites in Al-Safira.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated, "At least seven large explosions were heard, resulting from Israeli airstrikes targeting defense factories in the Al-Safira area south of Aleppo and the scientific research center, with no reports of human casualties."

The same source recorded 498 airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes on Syrian territory since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime. The airstrikes targeted Syrian airports and their warehouses, squadrons of aircraft, radars, military signal stations, and numerous arms and ammunition depots in various provinces. In addition, they targeted scientific research centers, resulting in their complete destruction, disabling air defense systems, and putting those sites out of service.
