New struggle must be waged for the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan

Last Monday, a 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck an area 32 kilometers northwest of the city of Bursa in Istanbul, which is located on the island where the leader Abdullah Ocalan is arrested. This raised the fears of the people and they went out to the squares to demand to know the status of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and generated popular discontent regarding the Turkish authorities’ secrecy regarding the status of detainees there.

Citizen Bahia Ahmed, a resident of the city of Qamishlo, expressed her concern about the situation of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and said: “We will remain in the squares until we know the situation of our leader,” and held human rights organizations responsible for his safety due to their silence. “They are playing the role of the deaf and mute. They must carry out their tasks and humanitarian duty only.

Bahiya will not tire of continuing her struggle of going out to the squares until leader Abdullah Ocalan is physically liberated.

Citizen Shukri Ahmed believed that they have great responsibilities to achieve their goal, which is to expand the scope of activities against the policy followed towards Imrali, and raise the pace of resistance more than before.

Ahmed called on the people of North and East Syria and the Kurdish community in the Middle East and the world to enter a new phase of struggle demanding the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

He also urged Ali Omar to enter into a new phase of the continuous struggle to achieve the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and said: “The Turkish occupation state has escalated its efforts in all ways to deprive him of his surroundings, and will exploit this earthquake to endanger the leader’s life.”

Samia Khalil confirmed the links between the people of northern and eastern Syria and the leader Abdullah Ocalan, specifically women. She praised the thought and knowledge he gained her. She stressed the need for the Kurdish and Kurdish people to continue organizing peaceful protests until the demands of the people calling for the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan are met.
