The ninth group of citizens from Hasakah, Ad-Darbasiyah, and Tal Tamr cities of al-Jazira Canton reached Tishrin Dam to be part of the ongoing mass demonstration to protect the dam since January 8.

A new batch of citizens from the cities of Hasakah, Ad-Darbasiyah, and Tal Tamr in al-Jazira Canton showed up at Tishrin Dam some time ago to participate in the "Resistance to the Dam" activity, as the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries continue their attacks on vital infrastructure in northeastern Syria.

Ever since the start of protests against the Tishrin Dam, it has become a popular location for acts of resistance, with citizens from various cities and towns of North and East Syria visiting there in large numbers, shouting slogans condemning the Turkish attacks and affirming peoples' right to defend their resources and institutions.

The Tishrin Dam is one of the most important works in eastern and northern Syria, providing hundreds of thousands of civilians by sending them electricity and water. Targeting it is a war crime in international law, and this has prompted people of the area to take a mass public stance for the purpose of rescuing it.
