In a statement, the DEM Party clarified that they would determine a new date for the meeting between the Imrali delegation and the Ministry of Justice during the coming week.

The statement read: "The meeting that was scheduled to take place between the Minister of Justice and the Imrali delegation tomorrow, Friday, has been postponed due to the health condition of Sirri Sureyya Onder and the visit of all our party’s administrators to the hospital. We will announce the new date for the meeting next week once it is determined."

On the evening of April 15, Sirri Sureyya Onder, a parliamentarian from the DEM Party and a member of the Imrali delegation, suffered a health crisis and was transferred to Florence Nightingale Hospital located in the Shishli district of Istanbul.

Doctors supervising his condition stated in a press conference that his life is still at risk, but he is responding positively to treatment. They explained that full recovery from the issue affecting the right ventricle of his heart may take between 10 to 40 days.
