During the past week, local and regional media in Syria have highlighted stances from tribes and components of NE Syria condemning attacks on the region and standing with the Syrian Democratic Forces against efforts to target their areas and the Autonomous Administration.

Tensions escalated against the backdrop of dual attacks by the Damascus government and the so-called "National Defense" on Deir ez-Zor Canton, and by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on Afrin, Shahba, and Manbij Cantons during the past week.

Regarding the intensified stances and the intentions of the attacking parties, Fahd Shlash, sheikh of the Bani Said tribe in Manbij Canton, stated, "Sheikhs and elders of the tribes and all components of Manbij Canton stand behind the Syrian Democratic Forces to quell sedition because we do not accept strife and sabotage in our country."

Shlash emphasized that the attacking parties, under various pretexts, are trying to create discord, but the vigilance of the region's people will thwart them again, affirming, "We are one hand with our forces to preserve the security and stability of our regions."

Sheikh Hussein Farouk al-Mashi from the Bobna tribe underscored that their stances stem from what they perceive as the danger propagated by Turkey and the Damascus government, contrary to its claimed aim to target security, stability, peaceful coexistence, and civil harmony in the area.

He commented on attacks by Damascus government forces and the so-called "National Defense," and by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries, saying, "Our lands have been subjected to criminal attacks," expressing his and his tribe's support for the Syrian Democratic Forces to deter them.

He affirmed that the Syrian Democratic Forces represent the sole military representative of the peoples of NE Syria and have managed to eliminate and repel ISIS mercenaries, ensuring they can confront attacks from any other parties.

For his part, condemning attacks by Damascus government forces and the so-called "National Defense," and the Turkish occupation state, Sheikh Mohammed Sadiq al-Osaidi from the bani Osaid tribe noted that it would have been more appropriate for the Damascus government to work on expelling the Turkish occupation instead of collaborating in killing Syrians in NE Syria.

He added, "It would have been more appropriate for them to focus their attention and forces on Afrin, Ras al-Ain, and Tal Abyad, as these are occupied areas, not Deir ez-Zor."

Al-Osaidi stressed, "The sons of NE Syria are united by their pains and hopes, and we are in one boat led by our sons in the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Democratic Autonomous Administration. We will reach safety despite all the conspiracies and attacks created by those dreaming of destroying our democratic project.”
