The Lebanese General Security Directorate announced in a statement today that it has extended the implementation of additional facilitation measures for Syrian nationals and Palestinian refugees from Syria.

According to the statement, the extension applies to individuals who entered Lebanon either legally or illegally, regardless of the length of their period of irregular stay, provided they wish to depart through Lebanon's land border crossings. Eligible individuals will be allowed to leave without paying any fees or fines, and no entry ban notices will be issued against them. The extension will remain in effect until July 30, 2026 (inclusive) and has been described as the final extension.
