Leader Abdullah Ocalan's lawyers submitted a new request to the Turkish authorities to meet with Leader Abdullah Ocalan and other Imrali detainees.

Lawyers of the Asr Human Rights Office, Razia Ozturk, Rezan Sarıja, Faik Ozkur Arul and Mazloum Deng, submitted a new request to the Republican Prosecutor’s Office in Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with their clients, leader Abdullah Ocalan, Omar Khairy Kunar, Hamili Yildirim, and Veysi Aktaş.

In order to meet with them, Al-Asr Law Office’s lawyers submit two requests every week to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Turkish city of Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate. Their families also submit two requests every week, but they are rejected.

Lawyers of the Al-Asr Human Rights Office submitted a request to the Committee Against Torture (CPT) on February 25, in order to meet with their clients, Leader Abdullah Ocalan, Omar Khairy Kunar, Hamili Yildirim, and Veysi Aktaş.

It is noteworthy that the last meeting with the leader was held by his lawyers, Rezan Sarija and Newroz Uysal, on August 7, 2019, while his last contact with the outside world was on March 25, 2021, during a phone call with his brother Muhammad Ocalan for 5 minutes, then the call was cut off.
