Leader Abdullah Ocalan's lawyers submit request to meet him

Leader Abdullah Ocalan's lawyers submitted a new request to the Turkish authorities to meet Leader Abdullah Ocalan and other detainees in Imrali.

Today, Asr Law Office lawyers Radia Oztuek, Rezan Sarija, Mazlum Deng and Cengir Yurkly submitted a new request to the Bursa Public Prosecutor's Office and Imrali Prison Directorate to meet their clients, Leader Abdullah Ocalan, Omar Khairi Konar, Hamili Yıldırım and Weysi Aktaş.

Asr Law Office lawyers submit two requests to the Bursa Public Prosecutor's Office and Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with them every week, without receiving any response to their requests.

On October 23, 2024, after four years of hiatus, Leader Abdullah Ocalan met directly with his nephew Omar Ocalan, and during the meeting, the leader said in a letter: "The isolation is still ongoing, and if the conditions are available, I have the theoretical and practical power to transfer this process from the ground of conflict and violence to the legal and political ground."

While the torture and genocide regime continues in Imrali, Leader Ocalan is denied his rights even as a prisoner.
