Leader Abdullah Ocalan 30 years ago: Başûr faces scenario similar to Cyprus, Antakya

In a reading of the dimensions of decades of time and 30 years from now, Leader Abdullah Ocalan spoke about the fate of Southern Kurdistan in the event of ending the Guerrilla resistance there, where the words express the reality of the living situation in light of the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on the mountains of Kurdistan, with the participation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Forces.

In the video recording dating back to 1993, a year after the Kurdistan Democratic Party participated, alongside the Turkish occupation army, in the attack on the Guerrilla in the mountains of Kurdistan; Leader Abdullah Ocalan explained the repercussions of this on Southern Kurdistan, explaining the importance of resisting the Guerrilla there.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan says: “If Turkey and its agents succeed in imposing this policy and ending the guerrilla in the mountains, then the people and political parties cannot live in safety and stability. On the contrary, they will accept what Turkish fascism imposes, and they will also accept 3 million Turkmen in Başûr, They will accept the orders issued by the governor and the pasha. These are the repercussions of Turkey’s occupation. If it succeeds in its attack, nothing Kurdish will remain. Thinking otherwise is pure fantasy. Moreover, the Turkish state will conclude agreements with neighboring regimes and commit massacres against our people, as happened in Cyprus and so on. Evidence of this happened in Antakya: neither the Romans nor the Arabs remained there. They liquidated them, and this scenario will also be implemented in Southern Kurdistan.”

The resistance of the Guerilla is national and historical

The leader adds: “There are 3 million people who say they are Turkmen living in Southern Kurdistan, and the rest Turkey is trying to turn into Turkmen by luring them with money in schools spread around the world. Half of the Kurds in Hewler consider themselves Turkmen, and I believe that if the situation continues as it is, then 75% of the population of Southern Kurdistan will consider themselves Turkmen, and here there will be no such thing as Kurdistan left.

The resistance shown by the Guerrilla is a national and historical resistance and a resistance for the sake of unifying the Kurdish home and ranks. If this resistance is broken, let the political parties know that they will not be able to practice politics. Forget politics, there will be no such thing left as a people.”
