Kurdish Red Crescent launches volunteer call to aid IDPs in Qamishlo

The Kurdish Red Crescent has issued a humanitarian call urging young men and women to volunteer to assist families displaced to the city of Qamishlo in Jazira Canton.

The organization stressed the urgent need for volunteers to help provide humanitarian support and relief assistance and to ease the suffering of displaced families, noting that the initiative comes as part of its ongoing efforts to support those affected and respond to growing needs.

Through its platforms, the Kurdish Red Crescent called on those wishing to volunteer in Qamishlo, aged between 18 and 35, to visit the General Administration of the Kurdish Red Crescent in the Industrial Area, next to the Pullman bus garage, to register their names and take part in this humanitarian mission.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Syria announced that more than 170,000 people have been displaced since 6 January in Aleppo, Hasakah, and Raqqa, due to recent attacks by mercenaries of the interim government backed by the Turkish occupying state. The displaced have been distributed across the Jazira and Euphrates cantons.
