The meeting is being held at the headquarters of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), with the participation of most Kurdish political parties and forces.

The discussions are continuing behind closed doors, and participants are expected to address several issues related to Kurdish affairs and current political developments.

Speaking to ANHA Agency about the meeting, its agenda, and decision-making process, the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), Gharib Hesso, said that the meeting was convened at the request of the Kurdish delegation formed following the April 26, 2025 conference.

He explained that the meeting aims to evaluate the results of the joint Kurdish delegation’s work, its performance over the past year, its shortcomings, and the absence of a clear program. He stated: “All previous meetings were held without producing results.”

He added: “Unfortunately, part of the Kurdish delegation attended the meeting, while the Kurdish National Council in Syria (ENKS) did not participate. We wanted the full delegation to attend, to allow all parties to participate and engage in a more serious discussion about Kurdish unity and to strengthen the role of the delegation in developing a shared program and future vision.”

Hesso noted that the current stage is sensitive and that evaluating the positions of political parties and forces is highly important, pointing out that some discussions are still ongoing and have not yet been finalized. He expressed confidence that final decisions would be issued and further meetings would be held between the parties, renewing hope for strengthening Kurdish unity. He added that the unity process in Rojava must continue without interruption, with the need to address the status of the delegation and reorganize it within a shared program that serves and strengthens Kurdish unity.
